Transforming the Ballroom Bathrooms

The Ballroom is at the heart of every Barr Mansion celebration, hosting countless weddings and receptions. However, the original bathrooms were dated and divided — a men’s and women’s restroom separated by a central wall.

Our project team, led by Project Manager Skender, completely reimagined this space.
We began by demolishing the existing interiors and removing the separating wall to create a more open, functional layout. The remodel now features:

• Six new stalls for increased capacity and efficiency (up from four).
• Custom-built trim work and wallpaper installation that enhance the venue’s character.
• New windows and doors for better light and ventilation.
• Automatic faucets and new countertops for modern comfort.
• Handcrafted tile backsplash that complements the mansion’s rustic aesthetic.

Every detail was designed to provide a seamless, elegant guest experience worthy of a premier wedding destination.

Reimagining the Ballroom Interior

Beyond the restrooms, our crew tackled improvements inside the Ballroom itself. The existing stage structure took up valuable space and disrupted the room’s flow. We redesigned it by:

• Removing the old stage to open the area for larger events.
• Building a custom arch feature to define the space architecturally.
• Installing pure limestone shelving and a brick façade, finished with plaster for a warm, rustic look.

This combination of texture, tone, and structure transformed the Ballroom into a more versatile and visually captivating setting for weddings and receptions alike.

Restoring the Mansion Bridal Suite

Inside the Mansion — a historic structure and designated landmark — our team took a sensitive yet creative approach. Since major structural changes weren’t permitted, we focused on refinishing and reconfiguring the existing layout to enhance beauty and function.

Key updates include:

• Relocating the clawfoot tub to create a focal accent piece.
• Installing a new chandelier and refined lighting to elevate the bridal preparation area.
• Custom vanity redesign and fresh finishes that preserve the vintage atmosphere while introducing modern comfort.

The result is a stunning blend of old-world charm and contemporary elegance, offering brides and their parties a luxurious, photo-ready space on their special day.
